Earthly, Two Rivers Gallery (Prince George, BC)
April 11-July 13, 2014
Earthly simultaneously signals the land we walk on, and the processes and machinations within our celestial sphere. Earthly is also often used to distinguish our corporeal selves from our spiritual selves. Despite many peoples’ sense of spiritual identity being tied to the land, it is often used to signal a lesser sphere of concerns that are base as opposed to heavenly. BC artists working in a range of media explore the idea of earthly and examine what it means to us in this juried exhibition.
Artists included in this exhibition are Andrea Fredeen, Anna-Maria Lawrie, Annerose Georgeson, Arlene Nesbitt, Azucena Rudland, Carole Thompson, Cat Fink, Claire Kujundzic, Elizabeth Gibbs, Erin Hutson, Gerda Volz, Nora Curiston, Stephanie Patsula, Tony Yin Tak Chu, Trevor Jones and Victoria Edgarr.
